So have you done much massaging yet on your course or are you still in the early stages? Do you have to be quite firm in your approach or are there different techniques you have to learn?

Well We have just started Leg massage in Body massage, and I'm really enjoying the practical side of things.
It really depends on what kind of massage you are administering as to the pressure you apply.
Sports massage for example goes a lot deeper than Aromatherapy or body massage, but even then it's more to do with the massage movement than the pressure applied...For example one of the most basic movements is Effleurage which is a very light stroking and always used at the beginning and end of a massage...It's also used as a linkage between different massage movements and areas of the body..Tapotement movements i.e Cupping or Hacking are a lot more stimulating. These are just a few examples!
