``Every year, about 3000 people have been identified with arthritis in the city,’’ says Priyanka Reddy, a researcher in Hyderabad. It is noted that the type of arthritis that affect this young people is generally inflammatory arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis too is detected in many, she adds.

They tend to neglect the necessity of having a nutritional diet and this may lead to arthritis and other health disorders,’’ says Sandeep Chatterjee, a medical practitioner in Patna. Another factor that causes joint pain and arthritis is nothing but the lack of exercises. Wrong postures too may lead to joint pain, warn experts.
